Uncharted 2: Among Reviews

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

It’s been over a year since I posted anything here… but it’s time to change that. I’m resurfacing from working on Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, which comes out on October 13. Since I got into the industry I wanted to finish a game that’ll average over 90% in its reviews. Looks like I’m getting my wish. :)

Bring It

Wednesday, November 14th, 2007

Well our game is about to hit the shelves and it’s getting some pretty cool reviews:

Gamespy (4.5/5.0)
IGN (9.1/10.0)
Eurogamer (9/10)

It is such a badass-rewarding-awesome feeling to work on something for so hard and so long and then to see it pay off.  Now it’s time for vacation, baby.

Wednesday, October 10th, 2007

I did an interview for Uncharted for a New Zealand newspaper.  They’ve posted the interview online.  Check it out:

The game is pretty much done.  We’re just putting the final bug fixes and tuning parameters now.

Traversal Gunplay

Haven’t posted in a while.  I’ve was in a dark place called videogame crunch.  We’ve been  putting the finishing touches on Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and the game is really turning out to be something special.  I wrote a short article about level-design for the Uncharted website.  Check it out here and then click on “TECHNOLOGY” at the bottom.

Uncharted Resurfaces

Wednesday, May 16th, 2007

Sony held it’s Gamer’s Day this week where they showed a bunch of their titles to the public.  Our very own Uncharted was shown as well.  We’ve been working very hard to get the game to this point and it’s great to see the reception it is getting.  This will be my first project at Naughty Dog since I made the switch from programming to design and I couldn’t wish for a better one.  Here’s some of the coverage:

Gamespot
IGN
Gametrailers
1UP

And now back to the crunch to finish the best Naughty Dog game ever.
